#Off_the_record with Marius, Germany!

This time, meet Marius from Germany! 🇩🇪 Marius is pursuing his Bachelor’s in Inernational Politics and Law at the University of the German Armed Forces and came to Israel to participate in our Semester program! 🎓
Now for the fun stuff 💃
1. Favorite Hebrew word?
Sababa (Slang for “good”) 👍 because It’s a very versatile word, you can use it in a lot of situations, but it still gives the other person quite accurate information of how something is going.
2. Why Israel?
First of all, academically it’s interesting. Israel has been the focus and the attention of a lot of politics and international relations since its founding. Other than that, 2 years ago I came here for vacation and traveled around and I found the country so interesting that I decided to come back. It’s such a small country but still you have 3 climate zones, the Desert, the Mediterranean Sea, you can go Ski, you have urban cities like Tel Aviv, and much more ✨
3. How is your experience until now?
My experience at the university is very good. I use the free time that I have to travel, to discover and to do activities with other international students. It’s a pity that I have only another 2 weeks here!
 4. What’s your favorite Be’er Sheva activity?
I really like the sports center of the university. You can go swimming 🏊‍♂ go to the gym 🤸‍♀ you have the large grass area where you can play Frisbee 🥏 Beach Volleyball 🏐 you see people playing Tennis 🎾 it’s just super cool.
 5. What’s one thing about you that surprises people?
That I have a twin brother who is totally different from me. Everyone automatically think that we’d be very similar 👬 We’re about the same height, but we have different structure, he is blond and has curly hair, and he studies Mechanical Engineering in Berlin and lives a totally different life than me. But still, we are very close friends. People don’t believe us and even asking us for our passports to believe 😄

6. What’s your guilty pleasure?
One of them is that even though every time I say to myself I’m not going to do it, I very often go to the cafeteria and buy the chocolate croissant 🥐 between classes. sometimes even after class, I tell someone, “no, I’m going to stay in the room and read for the next class”, and 5 minutes later I’m at the cafeteria 😂
7. If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
Dive endlessly without taking breath, to go as deep as you want and explore the ocean. Usually people go for flying, but since technology has made this available to humans, and diving to a great depth is not yet available to humans, I’d really like to experience it 🥽
